Primary sceat

A primary type sceatta circa A.D. 680 - A.D. 710  It has recently been suggested that it may represent Christ. The reverse depicts a wild boar, indicating that it may have been struck at York, the Anglo-Saxon name being Eorforwic - meaning place of the wild boar.
